TYPO3 gives small and medium sized businesses enterprise class content management, and contains a wealth of useful <link http://typo3.com/Feature-list.1628.0.html - external-link-new-window "Opens external link in new window"><img src="typo3conf/ext/rtehtmlarea/res/accessibilityicons/img/external_link_new_window.gif" alt="Opens external link in new window" />features</link>.&nbsp;
We accomplished several things, with the choice of TYPO3 and&nbsp;this migration:&nbsp;
<ul><li>Multilingual site controlled from the same hard disk folder and a single database.</li><li>Increased&nbsp;site performance.</li><li>Valid XHTML and CSS.&nbsp;&nbsp;</li><li>Use of web-fonts, namely <link http://www.google.com/webfonts/specimen/Open+Sans - external-link-new-window "Opens external link in new window"><img src="typo3conf/ext/rtehtmlarea/res/accessibilityicons/img/external_link_new_window.gif" alt="Opens external link in new window" />Steve Matteson's &quot;Open Sans&quot;</link>&nbsp;hosted by Google,&nbsp;and <link http://mplus-fonts.sourceforge.jp/mplus-outline-fonts/design/index-en.html - external-link-new-window "Opens external link in new window"><img src="typo3conf/ext/rtehtmlarea/res/accessibilityicons/img/external_link_new_window.gif" alt="Opens external link in new window" />Coji Morishita's M+</link> Japanese fonts.&nbsp;</li><li>Easy content Moves, Adds, Changes.</li><li>Accurate searching in English and Japanese.&nbsp;</li><li>Built-in capability of allowing user logins, and access control.&nbsp;</li><li>Workflow for site operations such as page editing and publishing.&nbsp;</li></ul>
Besides the various technical accomplishments above, our goals for the new site are to:&nbsp;
<ul><li>Feature content in a dynamic way, presenting&nbsp;the most important information for our visitors and clients.&nbsp;</li><li>Introduce premium content for clients.&nbsp;</li><li>Allow visitors to subscribe to a newsletter.&nbsp;</li></ul>
